CAMP FACILITIES: We have 20 traditional wooden log cabins; each has an attached bathroom with toilet and sink. We also have separate facilities for bathrooms and showers that are in a central location. We have four clay tennis courts, a beautiful 18 stall indoor barn with four riding arenas, two pavilions for indoor activities/performing arts, quintessential location on a beautiful lake, football field size sports field (for soccer, lacrosse, softball), petting zoo area, dark room for photography, dinning room, outdoor dinning space and beautiful camp-out field.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Camp Farwell offers a well developed three year Counselor in Training & Leadership Program. Each year has a specific focus: Responsibility & Introduction to Leadership; Group Management & Leadership; Teaching & Leadership. Beginning year two, CITs live in cabins with younger campers to help care for them. We offer a specific out of camp trip each year and various certification classes including an opportunity to take the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course year two.

CAMP FACILITIES: Campers sleep in cabins, ride their bikes on our flat campus, and eat on a porch on three sides of our Main House. We have 2 softball fields, soccer and basketball fields, a riding ring, theater, video studio, 4 visual art studios, an archery range and a beautiful, spring fed lake.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We build a supportive community in which each is respected for his or her strengths, and the horseback rider, the basketball player, the singer and the painter are all appreciated. Killooleet is variously described as a traditional camp (long season, we offer activities including weekly hikes, take two overnight trips during the season), a non-competitive camp (certainly we care more about the joy of participation than that of winning) and “that little gem of a camp.”

The schedule provides balance: arts and sports, free time and scheduled activities, challenges and fun. It encourages children to discover their interests and pursue them avidly. Campers exercise choice in daily activities, chores, and projects, developing judgment and independence alongside the deep connections that grow from membership in a vibrant community.

We chose our counselors for their abilities to be good mentors and teachers of children. Many end up going into education and related fields. All counselors take Wilderness First Aid, waterfront counselors are lifeguards. We are licensed by the State of Vermont and accredited by the American Camp Association.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Killooleet's oldest campers develop a variety of leadership skills, are captains of sports teams and assistants in arts activities. They all work up to teaching activities in the last week of camp.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Need based financial aid is available.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Killooleet has had thoughtful educational leadership for the past 90 years. Founded in 1927 by Toni Taylor and Margaret Bartlett, it was bought by Ellie and John Seeger in 1949 and they passed it along to their daughter Kate Seeger and her husband Dean Spencer in 1998.

Killooleet runs from June 29 through August 23, 2015. Most campers attend for the full summer. First time campers can commit to just the month of July.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Counselors share responsibility for group of campers in their cabin, and teach in their activity area.  We are currently hiring counselors in a variety of arts, sports and waterfront positions.  Skills in nature and camping are also useful. 

Our nursing team is led by a nurse who has been with us for 12 years.  She works with two other nurses.  We are looking for a nurse who would like her camper aged children to join us, or recent graduate who would like to hone her skills in a supportive team.

We are looking for a chef to work with our head chef to oversee our kitchen staff, order food and cook 18 meals a week.  We hire former campers as kitchen staff and campers come help in the kitchen at morning Crew time every day.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Ohana staff are hired to work for the camp season to lead activities and help with various duties; housekeeping and kitchen staff are also hired.  Please visit our website for hiring forms.

CAMP FACILITIES: Includes over 50 cabins with electricity, large dining, historic horse barn, indoor riding arena, 2 full size soccer fields, 22 tennis courts, swimming pool, basketball, volleyball, mountain biking, archery, ropes course, trails, rustic amphitheater, and a multipurpose sports hall.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Windridge...a tradition of tennis, soccer and horseback riding and so much more for almost 50 years. Located in the Green Mountains of Vermont, the Windridge Tennis and Sports Camps stand unique in that we feature specialized sports programs within the framework of a traditional New England camp setting. Since 1968, children have come to Windridge from most of the fifty states and many foreign countries to share in the Windridge experience.

Our campers make a commitment to hard work, good sportsmanship and wholesome fun and laughter. Within a warm and friendly environment campers make lifelong friends while learning skills for life. We offer 2 and 3 week co-ed sessions from June through August, serving ages 7-15 year-olds. Our 4:1 camper to counselor ratio is an important factor in our warm and nurturing environment.

We offer “majors” in tennis, soccer and horseback riding, and also offer many elective programs such as golf, mountain biking, archery, ropes course, basketball, volleyball, arts & crafts and more. We add to this a wide variety of exceptional evening activities and special events to create a well-rounded experience for each camper.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Windridge is looking for counseling staff that are not only qualified in their playing and teaching ability but also enthusiastic, patient and interested in young people. Our main focuses are tennis, horseback riding and soccer. We have an extensive electives program that includes lacrosse, golf, drama, archery, arts & crafts, ropes course, mountain biking, swimming and much more.
