BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The North Country Camps - Lincoln for boys and Whippoorwill for girls – are full season summer camps in New York’s Adirondack Mountains with over 100 years of tradition. Our traditional sleepaway summer camp offers education, adventure, and community for kids, ages 8-15.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Volleyball, Swimming, Horses/Equestrian, Soccer, Tennis, Sailing, Adventure, Waterfront/Aquatics, Wilderness/Nature, Travel, Dance, Music/Band, Theater, Fine Arts/Crafts, Team Sports, Basketball, Baseball, and more. Wilderness Trip Emphasis - Many Hiking, Canoe, & Sailing Trips In The Adirondack Mountains & Lakes In Addition To Our Extensive Activity Program In Camp. Ropes Course, Ultimate Frisbee, Softball, Archery, Paddleboarding, Windsurfing, Kayaking, Canoeing In Addition To Activities Listed Above.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located on Augur Lake, in the beautiful Adirondack region of New York State. Camp Lincoln for boys, and Camp Whippoorwill for girls, have their own dining halls, waterfronts, ball fields, tennis courts, yet get together regularly for activities as well.
CAMP FACILITIES: Children live in wood-framed and screened cabins by age group, yet choose activities and wilderness trips individually. We have a wide range of activities in camp, and an extensive wilderness program - hiking, canoeing, kayaking, sailing throughout the Adirondack region.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The North Country Camps - Camp Lincoln for Boys and Camp Whippoorwill for Girls - are adventurous and fun full-season resident camps located in the Adirondack region of NY State. We offer a program that emphasizes individual choice, and we offer a wide range of activities in camp including horseback riding, sailing, canoeing, swimming, windsurfing, kayaking, bicycling, soccer, baseball, softball, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, tennis, archery, art, drama, dance, and woodshop.
We also offer an extensive Wilderness Trip program. The trips -day trips, overnights, and 3, 4, 5 day trips - include hiking, backpacking, canoeing, bicycling, riding, and sailing. Campers live in cabin groups of five or six campers with one counselor. Overall camper:counselor ratio is 3:1. The majority of campers attend for the full 7 1/2 week season, and we also have a 5 week option. First-time campers may enroll for 3 weeks with the option to stay.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: The Gucker Campership Fund can be applied to for financial assistance.
